| Battle Creek annual commemeration of the tragic events happening on 9/ll/01 when our Country was attacked by terrorists. This year's commemoration features two eye witnesses to the occurances in New York on this terrible day. Patriotc music will be performed by the Cereal City Concert Band, By-Chance Gospel Group, and Tony Goodman singing National Anthem and God Bless America. Chris Micklatcher will Emcee. The event is free and open to the public. Other speakers will describe the police response, military response, and fire department response. | Battle Creek Sweet Adelines highlight their annual show, September 27, 7:30 p.m., at Binda Theatre for performing arts Kellogg Community college, North Avenue, Battle Creek, MI
This year’s show will be the fifth year the chorus has sponsored a vocal contest for the community. Ten finalists chosen by auditioning before a panel of judges will be competing for cash prizes up to $500.00 for first place. No one will want to miss hearing these wonderful voices as they compete for audience votes.
Show tickets are available by calling Lois at 269-979-2208. Advance tickets are $10.00 for adults, $12.00 at the door. Children 12 and under are free. Special group rates are available in advance for 15 tickets or more for $8.00. A handicapped-accessible ramp entrance is located at the rear of the theatre and is accessible from Emmett Street
